Holler at me when you get pics, and I'll help you get your ad set up. You should be able to make enough to pay for feed if your birds are decent. Have you any shots of the adults? If not, get someone to help you get a few, and I'll help crop them and make your ad up. Wellies are a lovely bird, and I still regret selling my flock.

Just occurred to me: You should be getting your feed made up for you for all of those pigeons!! The scratch part of mine is very similar to a pro-pigeon feed, but it breaks down to about $10/50# if you were just using the grains and no UltraKibble. That's WAAAAAAAAAAY cheaper than buying the pigeon feed from the feed store!

Way cheaper than scratch, even! And better choice in grains!

I'm OVER the feed manufacturers and will be mixing my own forever, now...can you tell?

I'm thinking now of also having a sprouting grains mix made up for sprouting all summer...that's going to be my next trip out there! Perhaps my hubby can keep a blade of grass or two in the lawn if I sprout for the biddies.

I don't have any green or blue egg layers at this time, but I do have some black copper marans. They lay about the darkest chocolate brown egg of any chickens. I have a few extra hens. They are pure Wade Jeane C1 lines, never mixed. I would like to cut my numbers down a bit, so I would be willing to sell a few. I don't want to ship them, so you would have to come get them. Where are you located?

I have some green blue eggs in the incubator right now. They are from splash Ameraucana hen (might have a blue hen egg in there), the dad of these egg is a black/Lav Orpington. If I have my color math right most all the chicks should be blue.

So that means most will lay a green egg right? I have blue egg layers (bantams) I want green to add to my basket and dark chocolate brown

I am guessing they will be more green than blue. My hens are still very young, they started laying about month or so ago.
