The Great thing bout these new pen's is It's gonna be awesome being able too see when they need feed and water. The other nice thing bout these pen's is that they came with Plexiglas on all open areas, so this winter I will have NO FROZEN WATER JUGS !

Ozawkie, it looks great and I like your idea of being able to tell if they need food and water. Altho in the freezing winter, sometimes I really dont want to know! lol

Renee, I think I should also say a prayer to never have to do this again. Especially since I think I might have to. At least he is pooping now tho.

Never thought I cheer about poop.

Poor Cherokee is lost without his buddy. They were raised together. So he has turned into Mr. Personality. If I had had him alone, he would have been sooooo tame. The only protein I could get in them when they developed the shakes, was mixing B vitamins in scrambled eggs and cheese to avoid the bitterness. They LOVE cheese. So, now he pecks on the kitchen window and it means he want his scrambled eggs, like NOW! I have been making them for Mohawk with the antibiotics mixed in and for the other rooster than went down. I dont know WHAT they got into but I do know its botulism at least, which is a relief over Mareks or something else contagious.

I named Mohawk that as he has a perfect brown mohawk starting right in front of his crest and going right behind his crest, perfectly symmetical.

When I get some baby ducks can I feed them the same started feed I gave my baby chicks?

Will I be better off getting all females and fore go the whole drake aggression experience. I'll all about peace here, and I don't want to get a male if I might end up wishing I hadn't. Also, do all duck breeds get along with each other?

Orschlen has hatchery choice baby ducks right now. How do I know what they are so I'll know what they'll grow to look like. They have rouens now too and some posted as females. If they also had runners I might get them now. Recently they had a batch in one cage with a tag that listed both breeds. Mixed together how do I know!! Better yet, who THERE even knows?? ~sigh~

I'd be very surprised if the Orsch ducklings have been sexed accurately. I've seen them totally botch labels - like buff orps labeled as barred rocks.
