Constant, loud parties in the brooder

I feel your pain. If they are all roosters, I'll have to give all of mine away. I have no other BLRWs or Cochins. That would make me really sad.

That is sad if you will have to give all of yours away.

Can you not have roos where you are? I can have roos and I might be keeping the black Ameraucana roo since I think my blue wheaten roo might be having some fertility issues. I am disappointed that it looks like two of the three lav Orps are roos. Oh well, might have to keep one of them as well since it would be nice to have pure lavs but we will have to see. I don't want to upset the neighbors with a bunch of crowing!

Oh no, I live in an area where I could keep 100 roosters, but with no females of their breed to go with them and the fact that I already have a head rooster(Matrix, my Norwegian Jaerhon) and not enough ladies to support 3 more boys, there just really isn't any other option. I hate it because they are really beautiful and I would love to watch them grow.

Well you could always get more eggs to hatch of their breed and add to the revolution!

enabling vibes your way!

I've thought about that, but I just completely got out of 2 breeds and am using the spare room for my Call ducks. My husband really likes the Cochins, though, so I don't know...
One of them is a buff color and the other one is the Lemon Blue Color. He's a biter.

The BLRW has beautiful lacing...
Gee, am I talking myself out of getting rid of them?

It's supposed to be nice here today, so I'll try to get them out of the brooder and get some pics so ya'll can look at them.
Just so you know, I don't mind ya'll lying and telling me they're all hens.

If they all end up being roosters, please do.
I'm not real familiar with Cochins(OK, not at all), but I'm pretty sure the hens combs aren't as developed at a little over a month old as my babies are.

Yeah the same here with the Orp chicks. This is my first time with Orps and two of them have much bigger combs and wattles than the third. The Ameraucanas were surprisingly easy to sex. One has a comb with three defininte rows (roo) and one has a much smaller comb (pullet). At least that is my inexperienced theory anyway. We can both post pictures and have our fears confirmed.

If you have three roo's I will lie to you all day long!
