So I am building a coop for my guineas out of pallets and 2x4s. I got the framing and long walls done and now am trying to do a gable or peaked roof. I can't figure out the rafter length and angles I need to cut. My walls are 52 inches apart. Going for 6/12 pitch. Here is a reference of what Im going for. I built the thing using pictures from this link. https://summersacres.net/2014/11/diy-chicken-coop-from-pallets/

I just can't seem to get the length and angles right, and I have a finite amount of materials so instead of trial and error, figured I would ask for help. Is that 45 degrees at the peak? HELP?!?! Pics of my progress to follow...

Cut the 2x4s to 48" with a 45 degree angle on both ends as shown.
Make a pair and screw them together using a gusset plate. Have someone help you center them over the walls and mark each side for the birds mouth cuts. Go up 1.5" and over 1.5".
Dry fit the first pair. If they look good use them to template the rest of the rafters. You can go 24" on center.

Thank you so so much. That was a huge help.

Here is the coop in question. Plan on covering the open slats with HC. Makes for plenty of ventilation. Think i'm going to do a dutch door on one side of the front, and just a bird door on the other side. I've read guineas like multiple entrances. I got a clear pvc roof plus the open slats, should be a nice bright coop, which I have also read guineas like.
