Yeah, I don't know if I'll be entering this one. LOL...between the intricately carved egg and the graphite drawn ones, I don't think I'd have a chance!!!

Don't say that. Have faith in your self!

I want to see more decorated eggs.

Please look at the changes to the Contest in the first post. We had intended this contest to be a Creative Dying contest, but we don't want to exclude those that have fantastic artistic abilities. So, we now have 2 prizes for this contest - one for Artistic Eggs and one for Creative Dying!

real eggs covered in paper. Directions are on Martha Stewart web site, time consuming but not to hard. I would imagine this is the type of chick that would hatch out of eggs like this :)

Finally found the pictures I was looking for and then had to crop them so only 5 eggs show (I hope).

Picture #1 are eggs we dyed with silk ties. Went to the thrift shop and bought silk men's ties, cut the silk part off and wrap them around the eggs, used rubber bands "tie the ends close, then boiled them in water with a little vinegar. Kind of awesome the way they turned out.

Picture #2 are some we did with a tie dye coloring kit.

This is supposed to be only the blue, yellow, and brown with pink blob on it.

I'm going to try that. Do you boil for same amount of time for hard boiled egg? Those are really cool.
