caught the neighbors hen in my horse trailer. Guess what she is doing? She has been setting for 3 days now. Swapped her eggs for cochin bantams eggs of mine.. This is about as natural eggs I can get. Hen hiding eggs. We won't tell her all of BYC knows now where her eggs are....

Love the purple egg. What breed laid that?

Thank you! It's from my black copper marans hen. She laid the dark brown egg in the photo too. Her egg color varies quite a bit depending on the bloom. The purple eggs turn dark brown if they are washed. She's in my Easter egger pen. I'm about to try and hatch some of her eggs. I would love to see that crazy purple color on top of a blue egg shell...
