This is Road Randy, a 7 mo. cockerel from a blue/black Ameraucana hen, by a Buff Orpington/ Red cross rooster . Pictures do not do him justice, as he is a very shiny intense light yellow, and his tail feathers have some blue/green iridescence to them. Sure wish he was a hen *sigh*! These pics were taken this morning with my phone... no editing done except to crop the pics somewhat. We have way too many roosters right now... but they are so beautiful... for a reason I guess! Our chickens are free-range during the day, and locked up at night, which gives the hens more room to get away from excessive attention.
I sure am loving these male fowl pics... that duck is certainly a handsome fella!
