(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I kept chickens YEARS ago and just recently got back into them. I had a flock with my roommate but due to the illness of a family member, I had to move back to my home to help be a caretaker.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I don't have any right now but hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Nothing yet-looking at different Bantam breeds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are some of the most entertaining creatures around. Besides the egg production, they also are wonderful pest control.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Training and showing my Jack Russells.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
No siblings-my sister passed 8 years ago. I am an EMT/Dispatcher by trade but my first love is animals. I have three dogs - 13 yo Mollie, 12.5 year old Agatha and 6 year old Jasper. Mollie is my rescue Shihtzu and Jasper and Aggie are my Jack Russells that I compete with in terrier trials. I am already known as the crazy dog lady to a lot of people and soon to become the crazy chicken lady of the neighborhood-titles that I have no problem with at all!

I saw a link on Facebook on the Oklahoma Backyard Chickens page.

How many?
Good luck with your coming bantams and hopefully you can find your favorite breed. Some bantams are true bantams while other breeds come in both bantam and standard.
