The issue I've had is with my polish eggs. The pip way too low on the egg and either drowns or suffocates.
I have always had similar problems hatching Polish. Very frustrating.

Again with another Muscovy sad story. My Muscovy's sometimes community lay. I had three hen lay in one nest. There had to be 60 eggs in that nest. all three hens layed on that nest till about day 30 than they left it to just one hen. I took all the eggs but 20. That poor hen was so exhausted after her hatch out and all the baby's I hatched out. We ended up with about 57 chicks. She did not let anyone help her. She decided they were all hers and was mean as all get out. She ended up dying on me when they were two weeks old.
I can only imagine your face if you saw a turtle in your incubator! So I set 44 eggs, 20 were clear, 12 had blood rings, 8 died after pipping and 3 never pipped….
the one that hatched was a turtle!!
OK, not really…just have had the average hatch failures and success.
