I picked up a brinsea maxi II eco on eBay as an open box for a pretty good price. Haven't hatched with it yet because I love my auto turning I have always had on my old farm innovation styro incubator.

So I'm determined to make in an auto turning eco model.

Ordered the motor and an extra gear directly from brinsea which is on the way.

I'm looking for a large egg insert. Does anyone have one they can spare for a decent price?

Anyways. Here in a few days I'll get my motor and figure out the wiring/timing needs to make it an auto turner. Has anyone done this before?

Well can't upload my video. So quick written description.

After receiving motor and large egg insert, I opened the top of the eco model up, ran my motor (with additional wire soldered for length) to the power wires for the unit.

Also added a simple on/off switch that allows me to turn the eggs as often as I want for however long I leave the button on the on position.

Not fully automatic but it allows me to turn all the eggs at once without opening the incubator during the incubation process.
