Converting a granary into a coop design input?

Is $45 a good price for used 36x38 windows each?

More than I would pay. I like the free CL ones.

Might be a good price if you were building a human residence.

I would not recommend using double hung windows in a chicken coop.
Half the ventilation opening and lets rain in, so can't be left open when raining.
I used slider window panels and top hinged them.

Thanks for the replies. We just started looking for windows and pricing stuff out. I didn't get them.

I was thinking vinyl for winters but we are also considering barn windows on a hing. Figure it will be easier to find windows and cut the holes to fit the windows than the other way around

Absolutely!

The ones I used were already in place in the shed, cleated into frames built around them (I would magine).
Seem to be been extra slider planes from when they built the house.
Was able to remove the cleats and some of the framing and add hinges. Most are propped open from the outside but are open all summer as they are partially protected by the deep roof over hang.
