Extend roofing 12" on gable ends to protect the gable vents.

This is what we have done with our barn shed conversion...not done yet but vents are cut out and covered with screen but will also use hardware cloth.

Great! I also want to see please I haven’t start mine (been busy and still don’t have roofing material) but I’m going to combined everyone’s advice I’m going to cut the vent on one side and the other side I’ll have a section of the wall and roof be screened instead. That side’s roof will come out like a porch too. It’s a bit hard to explain
