I saw some DIY tanning methods over on Mother Earth News sight. To bad coons don't taste good, I'd have a coop just for them.

I have tanned several squirrel furs using the brain tanning method (I substituted egg yolk for brains) it does take a lot of time though.

I have plenty of squirrels to practice on, I've caught 10 already. throw a slice of wheat bread in the trap and go out in an hour= 1 squirrel
