Welcome to the wonderful world of chickens!!! I agree with the post about waiting g until next year to get a rooster. There are always roosters available. Get a nice one and you will enjoy watching him interact with the hens. I have a wonderful rooster that protects his “girls” and makes sure they get the good treats

BTW, Cookie, this is my Cookie. She is blue ee x buff brahma mix. A big girl with a sweet personality. I'm planning to keep her and one of her brothers. I've already rehomed one of the cockrels.
