How big should I make coop i know the 4sq ft thing but what is the smallest, I have 6 chickens

Tristan only you can decide. The 4 sf rule of thumb is great but it is not a RULE.

So many factors come into play that all of them can't be said. Where you live (climate) dictates to a large extent. Type of chickens comes into play. Free ranging over a big area or will you "run" them in.

Here is a set up (3 actually) you could use.....possibly.

IMO the 4/10 'rule' is the smallest.

Space needed beyond that depends on many factors...there's a great article on space linked in my signature, check it out for sure.
