I once found a metal excavator arm from an old toy up in the woods, lots of old bottles from the 70's, sometimes find some old tractor tire treads. When my grandfather passed away they let the grandkids go through the house and pick out some things to keep... I found an old approximately 100-120yr old pencil sharpener in the kitchen I had never noticed was there before. I love vintage things and I loved the thought of my family using it when they were growing up.

When I was a kid I remember my parents did some work on the house, opened one wall and there was a big green lizard in it. Mummified, kinda sad but also kinda creepy knowing that thing had been in the wall the whole time.

When I was in North Carolina (2 - 3 years ago) I found tons of crabs with my cousins. Well actually, I found tons of crabs with two of my cousins, my other cousin was afraid of the crabs. I'll see if I can get my mother to send me some of those pics!

I have a ton of oddities. I’ll list a few and post pics of some tomorrow.

Snake shed, baby chickadee egg (size of a dime or so) in its nest. *hatched and hollow inside, otherwise unbroken.*

my cats claw.

And animal bones and skulls. Also, we had awful hoarders that buried their trash in the yard, and burned it. (80 years or so ago) i think the jars look cool, especially old root bear ones.

Oh, and a chipmunk tail.

For a vegan, this is a weird collection.

There is way more, this is just off the top of my head!

Oh, and many, many horse shoe crab shells and bodies.

and feathers. Not really an oddity. But i have many gallons worth of them. Figured id mention it anyway.

I’m a very curious person and I love exploring and learning new things. Fossils, bones, artifacts, antiques, and rocks all interest me. I’d like to see some of the things you’ve discovered, as well as share some of my own findings!

1- My mummified snake is pretty interesting and fun, as well as creepy and weird. Indentified as a young Ball Python, this unlucky snake was found in the door panel of my dad’s corvette which had a weird history of its own. It’s unbelievable preservation made my dad assume it was still alive, and he jumped out of fright when he spotted it! Of course, it is long dead and unable to move, so I decided to keep this interesting item in a jar for all to see. View attachment 2548774

2- My House Fire Findings are really quite incredible. A family member owns a 60 acre property, which includes the untouched remains of a house that burned nearly 100 years ago. I visited recently and had a lot of fun uncovering crazy things like dishes mugs and glasses. Amongst these charred items, was the outhouse, unscathed from the fire as it was standing many feet away. I had a lot of fun poking around inside.
