Cooling Down Hens

Temps above 100. My hens have shade and do collect under coop, but is it ok to mist them with squirt bottle?

Depends on the humidity. If it is is humid, then it will not help them. Otherwise, it would be fine.

It's 105 here today! So I feel your pain. Might help to also hose down the coop and run with some cool water to bring the temps down in there, I have been trying that as well as dipping the hens' feet and bellies into some cool water (not too cold, since I don't want to shock their systems) to bring their body temperature down. They don't love it, but it stops them from panting temporarily so it might help.

Chickens can be so STUBBORN! All of mine are doing their best to avoid the evil water mister, frozen water bottles, cold watermelon slices and iced trays of water...
