Cooling period

We are on our second hatch, and I have really been debating on whether or not to turn on the cooling period. I have read a ton that states you will have a better hatch rate, but has anyone tried it, and did you notice a difference? Our last batch started hatching on day 15 which seemed a little early to me, and we only got 16 birds out of 48 eggs!

From what I've seen on these forums - most people opt out of it because the hatches are good even without it. I did my first hatch with daily 2 hours cooling and they hatched on day 19, 5 out of 12 (eggs from craigslist). Doing 2nd incubation without cooling right now, about a week left.
