Well, upon further thinking the pasture was just brush hogged and baled. So we might have taken the little coons home. That's probably why he was out during the day. Trap is set for the night, neighbors have been warned of gun shots. Cute little guy, still gonna be stew.

DH doesn't really think the chickens are anything but that.

edited to add: shot the coon with the camera instead of the gun.....gotta save the head...just incase.

I can hear my grandmother now, when I asked her...Indian women said when asked for advice advice on chickens, "give them water and shelter, that's all they need."
She didn't say anything about waiting outside with your laptop for 6 plus hours for a coon to come back.
What I wouldn't give to go to heaven and bring back knowledge with me.
