Coon trap set.... Questions

If I were to kill it, it would be a quick shot to the head. Would you like to be trapped in a cage and be thrown into a lake?? No. Shot to the head and they wont know what hit them.

Shoot it then, I really don't care.

You could always put it in a feed sack or pillow case and gas it with your car or take it to vet and have them put it to sleep. Dead is dead in my book. Short of lighting it on fire or beating it to death with a small stick who cares how you do it.

Drowning ain't no big deal I have done it twice it did not hurt me just as if I were swallowing water I have been asphyxiated 3 times that does not hurt either 1 by nitrogen and 2 times fairly bad by freon electrocuted a coupla times this hurts especially when you are wet to shock something while it is wet is cruel to drown it is not.........

great idea! have been trying to trap a raccoon or raccoons and it keeps finding a way to spill the bait and just reach through the sides to eat it (i think that's how it's eating all the bait with out triggering the trap), then terrorize my chickens. Will try this tactic tonight!!

I bait mine with tuna, cat food or uncooked meat.

No, I owe you an apology. I spent most of the weekend in ICU with my father in law and should have been less flippant.

Just secure your coop/run with better wire, latches, electric wire, etc. You're not solving your problem or fixing anything by trapping and relocating. I lost 3 chickens to raccoons and trapped 2 of them and 4 possiums and killed them and finally got tired of it and so will you, but I only had to shoot and dump a body, you're wanting to waste gas and risk getting bitten, or sprayed by a skunk and do this endless routine everyday???? Whatever floats your boat I guess

Three things could happen if you were to relocate an animal; 1. you would be fined by the Fish & Game Dept. if caught by them, 2. some crazy ole fool like me would shoot the critter, 3. that same ole fool would send you to the dotor's to get his foot out of your back side. It is against the law in most areas to relocate wild life without a license. Plus you can spread diseases that way. WHY DO YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR PROBLEM TO SOMEONE ELSE? If you can't deal with it, hire someone that can. There are many trappers that would be only to happy to help you out. If you can't find one though you family or friends go on line to trapperman.com they will send you to a local trapper in your area.
