Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions for a ramp up to my coop. The entry is 2' 4" off the ground. What kind of slope up do I need? How long of a ramp would I need? How wide is recommended?

I use treated plywood drop door for mine. And use 1 by 2 treated strips nailed every few inches for them to walk on. They slide and get scared otherwise...

Basically the same as everyone has already suggested. We used a 2" x 10" pine board and attached wood cross sections for added traction. Our door is only one foot from ground level so they really do not even need it.

I read somewhere - maybe on here - that the length of the ramp should be twice the distance between the door and the floor. So, if your door is 24 inches from the coop floor, your ramp should be 48 inches long.

Not sure if that's true or where I got it from but that's how we made ours and the ladies don't have any problems.
