Coop and Garden plan

Thanks for that Yardshare site URL, rugsnjones. Also, if you haven't purchased it yet, FREE RANGE CHICKEN GARDENS is a great book. It has givene me some great ideas. I plan to make my coop and green houe the central buildings, along with a patio, surrounded by vegetable and flower gardens...an oasis from everyday life.

Today's bargain was a trailer full of mulch for $20! I had more than enough to do my garden and round my big old oak tree. Next project is the coop! Thanks for the book suggestion moonshadows, I bought the chicken whisperers guide which I quite like, but you can never have too many books! An oasis is definitely what I'm aiming for! Here's the mulch...

Your place looks great! I'll have to look up chicken whisperers guide. You're right about never having too many books.

I wish I could get a trailer load of mulch for 20 bucks!!! What do you guys think of using dirt that was dug out of a pond to fill my garden boxes with?i can get a few truck loads for free.

Sounds great! All the dead stuff at the bottom would make it very nutrient rich I'm sure! It's always worth a shot when it's free!
