The run is 8x20 and the coop is 4x6 I'm not sure what end the coop will go on. I'm going to bury 12in gal 1/4in mesh about a foot down and it will be attached to the 2x8. On to I'm going up 2ft with same as below. From there I'm going up with 2x3in 6ft wide deer fence.

Looking really good so far! Very sturdy appearing. We went with a very similar style coop but a 15'x8' a-frame attached to it (attempting to see how that fares with all the heavy snow fall we get in our area).

That's a great looking coop you are building. I don't think you will have any problems with predators the way you are building it.

@ plaid. We get a lot of snow to so I'm not sure what to use on the roof. I will be covering the run with some kind of poly so the girls will be able to come out once it gets cold.

@ Michael. Yes I'm covering the hole thing with 1x2in 19gage wire mesh, a little expensive but it's for the ladies.

I agree it looks great but i think I would have put the coop a little further into the run so they could go under it for shade and dusting in the cool dirt under there, looking forward for more pics of your progress.

If you have weasels in your area, they can get through the holes in 1x2in mesh and you could lose your entire flock in one night. You should go with 1/2 in. hardware cloth all the way.
