Coop Bedding

My opinion: Medium pine flakes. Don’t get the “fine” stuff because it has more dust that can cause trouble.
Straw, hay, and other things can get wet and pack down too much, trapping moisture and causing mold and stink. Pine flakes don’t pack down and are easily turned to keep the coop smelling fresh.

I like the wood shavings, but really like Koop Klean chopped straw with Sweet PDZ. The only problem with it, it's expensive. TSC just started carrying it & it's cheaper than the feed store, but I don't have a lot of hope they will keep it in stock. The KK keeps my coop drier in the winter. I only totally clean the coop every 6 months. Just add stuff in between.
