Coop Bedding

I sent my husband to the store for more pine shavings and he came back with "aspen" bedding. Is this ok to use? I thought I read somewhere to use only pine. What is "aspen" bedding?

you've got high quality wood chips there, it'll be just perfect.

you need to avoid CEDAR... it has dangerous oils to most small animals, gerbils, guinea pigs, chickens etc...

From what I've read, it contains less dust than pine shavings but I've never used it, personally.
