Coop cleaning problems

Yes how often would I have to change the wood chips?
I have not raked mine out of coop or run in 3 months and both are still dry without odor from 11 juveniles. I did add fresh pine chips once, about a 5 gal bucket, but have not removed any yet. I toss a small handful of scratch grains in the evenings and the birds stir the chips and dry material.

If you can get a good balance going you can change run litter somewhere between once a year when you want compost for your garden or never. :D

My rule for changing bedding/litter is to let my nose and my eyes tell me it's needed. If I get an odor problem that I can't solve with another layer of dry organic material or if I find that it's built up to the point that the depth of the pile has become inconvenient then I shovel it out and start over.

Wanting compost usually happens first. :D
