This one is barn red.

This one hasn't been painted yet but I did use a piece left over from the red contraption. We call this one the rusty top!

This shed is bright green on the floor and inside the door. We never got around to painting the inside but I think the outside will be a light green of some sort. DD's pick of color.

I used a mint green on this tractor.

Left over green paint covers this wall but I am going to use battleship gray when it warms up and cover this barn with it. Maybe use red trim. Not sure yet about trim, too much work on the farm to do much painting.

But you can see I really am going to have to paint this barn.

This is Mediterranean blue on this tractor.

And my favorite one is the blue and yellow tractor. I like the style and colors. This was just left over boards already painted and I finished it up with a few touch ups back in the days when I had a lot more time to spruce up my tractors.

We used a gray/blue color on this one.

And left over greens and grays on this one.

And some I never get around to painting at all.

I am going to be building a few duck houses soon and I am planning on peach for one and baby blue for the other. Since I need to seal them with exterior paint I try to pick bright, pretty colors to add a bit of fun to the farm. But you know the best laid plans.....

My coop is still in the "yet to be built" stage, but I have bought some paint for it!

First, I got a commercial grade interior/exterior semi-gloss in a deep hunter green (actually fairly near my house color!) for the exterior. I didn't want to use in on the interior because I thought it would make it too dark. At the same time, I picked up a "sample" can (1/2 pint) of a darker beige/tan color. This little can I plan to use as accent/decor, maybe sencil something onto the side? For the interior, I found a light sand color. It is almost beige, but still pretty white looking! It's an interior paint, I believe it is also semi-gloss, but I don't remember.

All of my paint I have gotten from the oops (Home Depot) and Mistint (Lowes) piles! When the normal gallons sell for $25-35, I love the color choices in the $5 bin.

All in all, I spent $11 on the paint, but since I have a little more than 2 gallons of it, I figure many future projects will be in the same color scheme. I also have a cay tree/house I'm working on for the indoor fuzzy butts...guess the colors of it?

I always look in the Oops paint when I go to the hardware stores but they usually just have a pint of this or that in purple or some such. I would buy it in gallons but not in pints since I do so much when I do get around to painting.
I found a great buy on a gallon of bubble gum pink paint when my DD wanted her room that color and sponging was in style. $5 went a long way like that!

I like the semi gloss, too. I hate forking out the $$$ but it really lasts a long time. I painted the red contraption 3 years ago (summer photo) and the color has help up nicely (winter photo is a few weeks ago).
Same with the blue/yellow tractor. Color has held well and it is almost 3 yrs old.

Loving the pics and ideas! We've almost finished the new coop and want to paint this weekend if the weather holds out. I'm hoping for a good find in the "oops" bin, too...

My coop's siding color is buckskin , trim is navajo white , nest lid and door are barn red , metal roof is hunter green . I painted inside with peruvian orange , apple green and trimmed nest box with the barn red . Added a petite chandelier for ambiance . My D'uccles love it .
I am mainly a lurker but love this board .
Hope I manage to load these pics .
