Coop design help

If u put roosts above the nest boxes then yes they will get on top of them. You'll be cleaning poo off of top of the boxes. I made the mistake of putting one of my nest boxes a few inches above the roost that was beside it so I have one lady that will always roost on the side of the nest box and poo in it when the roo is in the coop. Warm weather will bring changes needed.
 
Btw- it looks like they did a great job on the boxes, they look really nice. Just a bit high:) 1 roost bar about 6 inches out from the box entrances, a few roosting bars laddered (staggered) from the ground up to bar in front should do it. A sloped top on the boxes should keep them from getting up top too- put hinges on the upper back and you've got instant storage also.
