Coop door ideas (Human)

Unless you are very short, you will soon hate that 6' maximum height in there! Make it comfortable for people to walk inside...
And we have a Habitat restore exterior glass door on the south side of our coop, and a cut down interior door with a hardware cloth window cut out on the east side. It was 'temporary' about eight years ago, and with repainting and a good roof overhang, is still out there.
Both doors have Restore keyed door knobs, and are locked at night to keep critters out.

I used an exterior storm door, with a window. I still need to put hwc and a lock on it.

I know you said you can't make it bigger for lack of room, but seriously, make it tall enough for a tall person to walk in (at least 7 ft? 8 is better), and then you can use a regular door--salvaged, Habitat, whatever. A 6 ft wall won't be tall enough for a door unless it's custom made. Most interior and exterior doors are 6.5 ft tall.

You don't have to take up more of a footprint, but you can always go up, unless there's a tree overhead...
