Great idea thank you!A blowing wind might be a bit drafty. you could always bolt a long rubber runner like a flap for a dog house where they can go in and out and you can unbolt it and take it down when it gets warmer.

Love it!!! And your buns too!! So sweet! I haven’t been terribly worrieD about land predators so far. The hawk was the worst experienceHere is my door's I have 2coops I had to take my dogs out to potty so I took pics while I was outsideif your really worried about land predators do the hot pepper trick take the hottest peppers you can get your hands on and crush them especially the seeds put it around your coop and run and the predators will not come near them
Hawks suck we had issues with them a few yrs ago so I took 4 2x4's hooked bird netting on them and put it up in my backyard where the chickens free-range and they couldn't get to them they got annoyed and leftLove it!!! And your buns too!! So sweet! I haven’t been terribly worrieD about land predators so far. The hawk was the worst experiencewas ready to fight him lol.
I would not trust the hot pepper trick, I'd consider adding welded wire on top of the netting and hard cloth wire (small squares) around the bottom to deter smaller predators like rats and snakes. A little reinforcement can go a long ways.Love it!!! And your buns too!! So sweet! I haven’t been terribly worrieD about land predators so far. What about spraying coyote pee around perimeter?I would not trust the hot pepper trick, I'd consider adding welded wire on top of the netting and hard cloth wire (small squares) around the bottom to deter smaller predators like rats and snakes. A little reinforcement can go a long ways.
Thank youChicken wire is not predator proof.
Firewood to stop diggers?
Better to have an apron.
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.
If rodents are prolific, burying the apron ~12" would be good.

Coops kinda small for 4 birds, tho I have to say it's better ventilated than most prefabs.
They'll be sleeping in the nests as roosts are lower.
Thank you
And yes they do sleep in the nest boxes. Gave up on that battle lol. Me and my hubby doing the best we canChicken wire is not predator proof.
