Coop door

Will chickens use a "doggy door" or flap door? Or does it have to be all the way open for them?

dunno but some people hang burlap or something similar over the entrance to nest boxes so i don't see why you couldn't do the same for the coop door.

YOu can train them. But they generally do seem to have to be gradually *trained* to use it, they may not use a flap (or even a burlap or plastic curtain) if you just hang it up there all at once
