Coop fans

Well I have to admit that it isn't elaborate by design but necessity. We hadn't planned to have 10 birds only 8...so I am at the bare minimum for ventilation. It wasn't that expensive(I'm a lil miserly) at $100 to install but the next coop I build will be different with more ventilation than is adjustable to the size of the flock lol.

If anyone is interested...it has been hot and steamy in south Texas the last 7 days. A high actual temp of 100 and heat index alert of 113...the 2 fans I have installed in my 4'x8' coop has reach reached the highest temperature of 87 on the 100 degree day. I am very pleased with the way they keep the coop cool and most nights they shut off before 10 PM set at 78 degrees. Yes we have pampered chickens here at SNOWFLAKE FARM LOL
I'm in Oklahoma, so not too far behind you... (well, minus some of the humidity). Looking for a good way to use fans to cool my coop! Looking into solar fans, but just ran across this post!

Wait - I just read your comment in another thread, that your fan is blowing air into the coop. Makes sense considering dust.
I desperately need a fan for my small coop where mama and her 6 wk olds sleep. I'm ordering a solar fan, but till it gets here, I need to do something. Triple digits every day starting tomorrow, already in mid-90s now. Need a small solution for the small "windows" up there.
