Coop Fence Question

I'm getting ready start a run for our new chicken house. I want a 5' or 6' high fence, I was thinking of using 1"x2" welded wire and covering the top with the same or chicken wire. I have some 3' wide 1/2" weld wire that I was planning putting at the bottom up about 18" and the other 18" bent and laying on the ground just under the dirt to keep predators from digging under. Any ideas or suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks

That sounds good to me I wish I had small fencing of the botom of my run. But the chain link fence was free so I shouldn't complain. Then the other side is 2x4 welded wire. That was already up before we moved here. One day I will cover it with chicken wire. My bantam can squeeze through it sometimes. That's when she wants to be bad!
