Almost 6 weeks ago, we walked into TSC during chick week! Note to self: stay away from there next springI
So after researching chickens, I caved into the pleas of my 13 year old (plus it was her birthday) and got 3 chicks. Now that they are almost 6 weeks old (and spoiled I may add), my daughter wanted them out of her room. I began my quest for free wood by visiting some new home sites, asking neighbors, ransacking our basement, and even picking some from side of the road. I planned to help our "handyman" with the task and took a day off. When he told me he couldn't make it, I was upset but quickly turned it around and faced my fears (and tears)! My daughter helped too and it has consumed my life, but oh so much fun! Here are some pics of the super coop underway, and more to follow..........!
