Coop floor- pressure treated? Thompsons water seal or paint?

Thank you for all the responses . I was also preparing just now to use a watersealer then apply glass board on top. I didn't think about the corner round . Thanks again - I love this site -- Nicki

It is good that you are using linoleum to cover the pressured treated wood because they at one time used (CCA-C) Chromated Copper Arsenate
( Arsenic )..
I don't know if they still use it in there or not but hate to here that it is and a chicken has been scratching and pecking and maybe even eating it...

They haven't used CCA for 20+ years.

The chickens do not care what the floor is made of, they will crap all over it regardless. Linoleum would be easy to clean, but mine are on wood (pine). To use shavings other than in their egg laying crates is unnecessary because they generally do not roost (lay eggs or sleep) on the floor. Thompson's water seal or paint won't hurt because they won't usually peck the floor like they do the dirt. Kinda depends on the number you have and the area they have outside the coop. I have 20 at the present time and they are free range except when they sleep in the coop. They are happy.
