What material should I use on top of the plywood floor of my chicken coop?

My chicken coop floor is currently plywood and a friend recommended linoleum for easier cleaning. I saw someone somewhere on this forum say they used a roof coat material. It was black Jack rubr roof coating #57. He said it didn't smell like petrol because it was water based. We are trying to get this done as cheaply as possible but I do want to keep the floor relatively clean. At least as long as I have toddlers.

Do I have any other options for making the floor easier to keep clean?
I don't know how big your floor is but mine 5 x 7. I am a firm believer in oil paint. I used Rustoliem high gloss white oil paint. It doesn't dry fast, but overnight will be dry enough to put another coat onhave scratched scratched I put 3 coats on mine. It drys hard as a rock. Repells water doesn't scratch easy and lasts for years. I use clean pine shavings for bedding. I have 6 chickens and there is not 1 spot where they have scratched thru. It does smell while drying. But you could stand in the coop 3 days later and would never smell it. Never had a problem. Sand your floor good and roll it on..I don't clean the rollers with oil. Buy a cheap 3 pk and just use a new roller with each coat.

I still have bare plywood flooring and don't know how I would paint or seal it at this point with chickens going in and out all day. Especially that Black Jack stuff, how long does that take to dry? I have close to 30 hens/pullets and they want in to use the nests, and I don't want them getting paint or rubberized material on their feet or in their feathers. Would vinyl tile be a better choice for me?
I used a roll of vinyl flooring 10 years ago in my coop, and it's still in perfect condition . I use sand in my coop on top of the vinyl and it is scraped every day. Holds up very well I'd say.

I am currently building a coop and covered the plywood floor with vinyl flooring. The waterproof surface should really help with the cleaning part. In fact, I’ve done a lot of reading on this site and picked up several great ideas I’m incorporating in my coop. I am so looking forward to chickens next spring 😄
