Coop floor

My coop has a dirt floor -- had one off and on for years -- wouldn't have anything else.

Linoleum or vinyl flooring is probably the next best choice -- of course it has to be cleaned. You can just lay it on on top of OSB for the simplest, cheapest method. Don't use the glue-down tiles as water will get between them and you will have a mess. Plywood, well painted, is another choice. Remember it will get wet often, from cleaning. If you can, run the vinyl up the wall a ways, like a foot.

Concrete makes an excellent coop floor but ain't cheap. You wouldn't want anything like patio blocks -- again, you have the problem of between the cracks. If you set them in concrete you'd still have uneven surfaces to clean.

My coop floor is 1/2" osb covered in sheet vinyl flooring. I got the flooring at Home Depot for $20 and it's just there to protect that crappy osb from swelling and rotting from moisture.
