Coop Framing Question

The cut outs for the roof boards are basically for support of weight of anything on top the roof and for giving you someway to attach everything. Once you choose a roof pitch, the tricky part is the angles of everything and where to cut. A framing square and stair gauges were must haves

In my opinion, the simplest, fastest, bestest way to learn to frame rafters is to get yourself a Swanson Speed Square..........not a knock off, but a Swanson.

The Little Blue Book that comes with it is the most valuable part of the kit. It explains all.

Not all the box stores will carry a Swanson, but an Ace Hardware should.

Howard has a good suggestion. Ace is open on sundays as well. You get a tool and knowledge for $20

Oh excellent! I literally live across the street from a local hardware store, so I'll check them first, but we have an Ace's less then ten minutes away so I can totally go there after. Thank you, guys!!
