Coop growing!

Yes, you did spy a cross on top! I had told my carpenter that when we were building our house some people thought it was a church. Small town chatter! So my carpenter put a temporary cross up, until the cupola with rooster goes up! I've also had several offers from people who would like to move in.

Here are the plans. We decided to put in one Automatic Chicken Coop Door. Not do the pull out poop drawers (being out there in middle of winter in Wisconsin gets COLD), and put screen doors on the right side, instead of the rear. The rear will have the run starting to the left of the doors, as you face the building. The side doors can be opened up, with screen doors closed, if needed for ventilation. The run "runs" all the way from the rear to the left of the front doors. Big half circle.

I'm starting with 11, 3 Light Brahma females, 3 Araucana females, 3 Partridge Rock females, 1 Partridge rock male and the Free Surprise chick. I'm ordering with a friend who is ordering 25 RIRs. All are coming from McMurray Hatcheries and I'm thinking of driving down to pick them up. I don't want them "cooking" for a whole (Sun)day at the post office!
