Coop Heating Alternatives?

i use two 12v car heaters running off of a car battery in my coop, they heat pretty good, just have to recharge the battery everyday

I hadn't thought about putting something over the window! Im hoping this extreme cold is over tomorrow like they are saying!!!!

Yeah, maybe so. Now you got me thinking about it. I really was thinking the morning light would be good since I don't get out there early, but maybe I should cover it with a blanket. I don't think around the window is drafty, but you're referring to the fact that it's just a single pane, right?

Yes if you stand by a window when it's really cold out you can really tell. I have a thermometer in the coop and I'm sure it stayed warmer.
