Coop Ideas?

Hi,
I have Ducks, Chickens, and Pigeons. And I have baby goslings arriving in April.If you Have any suggestions, ideas or pictures of your coop for any type of poultry. I just got around thirty chicks and ducklings in the mail. And my Pigeons arrived a month ago. So I need to start building coops for them. So post your Coop pictures here.

If I do make a coop for my chickens should it be on or off of the ground? Wouldn't predators try to get in if it was on the ground? What are your suggestions? Thanks

It depends on a variety of factors. If it's on the ground aproning around the coop would be advisable to help deter pests and predators, but drainage could be an issue. If it's elevated that does provide some amount of protection from dampness and pests but you need to decide if you want to use the space underneath or not, and how to access it if you do.

Yes. 1/2" should keep out most things down to a large mouse, 1/4" if mice are a problem in your area.
