Hi feel like my coop is a little boring. I was wondering what kind of things you guys did to make your coop a little less boring for your chickens. Pictures would be appreciated, thank you!!

I guess my coop is very generic too. I add things to the run for entertainment or to at least make them change what they perch on during the day.

My coop and run are combined, so they can chose to go in and out whenever they please :)

Add run "clutter": https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/a-cluttered-run.1323792/

I have multiple pieces of clutter in my run, which serve as hiding spaces from pecking, adds vertical space, and provides some shelter from the elements. Plus a dust bath. Just added 5 wheelbarrow loads of dried leaves, which kept the flock busy today. Older photo, but pretty similar to how it looks today.

Also knowing .......
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

my biggest thing with chickens is keeping up enrichment! I constantly involve them in fun. One thing that I like to do is go down to the river and get long pieces of driftwood and spray it off and let it dry. I put it in the coop as a perch or little stump and my chickens love exploring it and driftwood is kind of rounded sometimes so they love crawling all over it. I also scatter their grains over the whole coop so they have to scratch and find it like a little game. I also bought then a mini chciken xylophone off amazon that zip ties on your coop and one will peck the keys and make music while the rest sqawk (sing ) back. LOL and after I mow i scatter the clipping in my coop and they love scratching and playing with the clippings.
