Coop in progress

Wow, this who chicken thing sure turned into a project. Originally, we bought a coop that claims to hold 6-8 hens. Yeah right!!! Sooo, convinced my hubby to build my chics something bigger. First pic is what our 8 chics and 2 crazy ducks are living in. Following is the new coop and run.

Hi and welcome - it's amazing how the "simple" project can grow, isn't it

It's always best to build bigger anyway because chicken math will kick in before you know it.
That said -I think your pictures aren't all showing just yet as I only see one.

Started the floor and frame, painted it, added the roost.


We built it before we moved it to its final place... BIG
MISTAKE

Put on front panal with sliding door (up/down on a pully
system)

Looking in from the back to the front, the back panal has a
large access door for easy cleaning.

Framed the run, and started the wiring

Added laying boxes painted it, and my girls and 2 crazy
ducks moved in.
