Embarrass, mn
I still have a few weeks until my birds are ready for the coop, so I figured I would see if anyone had any suggestions on changes i should make, or comments/concerns.
Aside from the water/feed system, and outside door, it's done.
This will house 26 birds(assuming all survive, and we don't have to cull any of the roosters), the birds will be free ranged during the day

I converted one stall in my barn, so the dimensions are 8'x8' with a 9' ceiling.
3, 8 foot roost, 2@ 5 feet, 1@ 4 feet from the floor respectively.
8, 12"x14"x12" nesting boxes.

Looks good. The nest boxes seem a little small (12x12x12" is the standard) and the upper boxes are not ideal for bird access. The roost ladder is odd for bird access with the bottom up against the wall. You will be getting plenty of eggs daily with a few dozen layers! Hope this helps!

thanks for the kind words, I mistyped earlier, the boxes are actuly 12x14x12. I agree with you on the funny ladder placement, but it helps support the roosts this way. Should be easy enough to rework though.

I would add bars out in front of the nests so they can get up there before entering the nests...and yeah, move that ladder.
Hopefully you don't have any predators to deal with, chicken wire is good for keeping chickens in place but lousy against most predators.
