Our almost 6 week old BAs moved into their coop tonight. My husband did an awesome job. There is still some finish work to do- painting the outside and putting the run up, but it's livable for them- and they're not in my house!

Going to see a man tomorrow about a couple of rhode island reds

Already 6 weeks, so I won't have to brood them!

I'll get some pics up here soon!

Congrats! ('

' I really enjoy raising chicks, but like you, I was thrilled when the grow out coop was finished & they were out of the basement! I've got a couple more finish details to take care of on the coop, but it's safe & secure and NOT IN THE HOUSE! The next big thrill was when they put themselves to bed on their own--as opposed to me catching & carrying 32 chicks (in a 30 x 30+ lot/ run) as I did for the first two nights. That's another another happy dance for you to look forward to. '
