Coop is old. Need your help for repair and expansion.

This coop was made in august of 2009 for me. It has been home to about 4 chickens. Three of which met their demise here.

There's a hole in the wire i attempted to patch that did not work.
So here are the pics.

Mulberry tree encompasses the koup. Main foodstuff in the chickens diet

old cheap wood i could probably use.

I know it needs a new coat of pain for sure. That wont be much but i really want to expand it or add a run and make some repairs. Need to keep dogs and other animals out . Locks and latches probably. What say u guys.
I have this metal ironing board that doesnt work in my mind for repairs and if i can i'd like to incorporate it somehow.
