Just a thought. The roosts in the run are higher than they could possibly be in the coop. Perhaps they are sleeping outside partially because it has the highest place they can get to.
I have a coop that I measured wrong and the roof of the nest box is one inch above the roost in the coop. I have 3 that insist that is where they want to sleep. I put them in the coop every night. They have gotten to the point that when I go in the run they stand up waiting for their ride into the coop. Goofy birds.

The roo and 2 of the hens (highest ranking) sleep on the peak of the coop (highest point). Two of the hens (lower ranking) sleep on a roost about a foot below on one side of the pen. The two newest (lowest ranking) sleep on the other side of the pen on a roost the same height as the other. They all have their place. Lol Oh, the chicken hierarchy! Chicken psychology
