Coop price

not sure there's alot of variables. Like your location and if you can salvage wood so forth and so on. And you say a 10x10 what shape wil it be like a square building or like a lean to kind of design. hope ya get some answers your looking for.

wood prices will vary by area. Do you have a design in mind. some will use more materials then others. like a lean to kind will use less plywood then if all the walls are the same height. Also if you live in the south you can get by with a less supportive framing then someone who lives up north and has to deal with snow.

A square. Shed looking chicken coop with an average run. Nothing fancy. Just big. I live in south jersey @jeepguy982001

rough guess if its 6 ft tall you can use 2 sheets of plywood per side cut off the top 2 feet and use it to finish your wall. so if you do it like that all the way around thats about 12 sheets. which depending on grade an type 16 to 35-40 bucks each so. anywhere from 192-480 bucks. about 8 2x4's per wall so 2.50 plus per one. thats on 16 in centers. and about 20 2x6s for roof and floor frame. so prob around 5 bucks a piece. so about 80 for 2x4's. then the roof depends if you want shingles or metal. rough guess i'd say around 550 for materials and screws and such. prob end up closer to 700 at a minimum.

Here steel prices are about the same as building out of wood. I'm building a 12' x 12' run out of 1" steel square tube. Already in $180.00 just on the frame. That doesn't include covering the thing or the actual house yet though. Starting point at least. Will yours need to be insulated or what? So many variables.

yup lots of variables. I had a uncle who i used to think was crazy but maybe he's just a genius now that i've done some various home projects. he used to say figure out your budget then divide it in half and add that to to your original budget and that'll be close to what the cost comes out to in the end.

Ours is only 8X3 1/2 and my husband ended up spending about $700 building it. I don't think he was very careful though. We live in CA.
