Coop Project completed...

Looks terrific. I'm sure it's a credit to the neighborhood. I especially like the lower level run idea. Great for shade.

Is it going to work in the winter?

wow, very very nice!

I made it with winter primarily in mind really. I plan on placing panels on the north and west sides(the lower sides) to provide a sheltered area from snow and winds this winter.

Very nice! The deer blind we are thinking of converting into a coop is 6 X 4. I like the run design too! Is there any other ventilation in your coop other than the two doors? Did you bury in the fencing? Nice job, indeed!

It has the one window, the screen door and an exhaust fan also. It's only 4'x 6' so it should be sufficient ventilation. If needed the pop door can be left open, which it is all day anyway. And I could crack the nesting boxes door for more ventilation, but I don't believe it will be necessary. I place the main ventilation at the one end to provide a draft free area at the opposite end in the winter, which can be harsh here.
The fencing is bury 6-8" depending on the grade. I plan on placing rock around the base of the fencing as to deter predators and to provide drainage. I have never had predator problems but I may hog clip some hardware wire around the base up about 2' also???
Deer Blind coop sounds great! Pics before, after and progress would be awesome to see.

Very nice! I love your design, just have one question-how will you get in to access if they lay an egg in the run somewhere?

The run has a door, if necessary a golf ball retriever can be used.
