Coop Question

Do you need to lock the chickens in the coop at night if the pen has a ceiling of chicken wire?

I would.....But depends on where you live and the know predators that you face. If the pen is under a tree...you can still have coons, and anything that can climb fit through and get your chicks.....also if the pen is not secure on the sides they can dig under or reach through.

I have 2 feet of wire on the ground, surroundn' the pen, no gaps, I beleive

I don't lock those in tractors up at night.
It is better to have LGD and I do have one. Makes me feel much better.
